Valentine's Gift Idea

When I was growing up, one of my very favorite things about Valentine's Day was that my mom and dad would always leave something special on the porch for us.  My mom would do it one at a time, which was no easy chore (there were 8 kids in my family) and we would each individually get a ring of the doorbell for us and there would be a little treat there from my parents.  It always made me feel so special and I have tried to carry on the tradition with my kids.

This week I happened to be at Dollar Tree for something else, and what to my wondering eyes should appear...but an awesome Valentine's section!  I thought I'd post it a bit early in case anyone else wanted to use the idea (and hoping my kids don't see it :)  I have done a little basket like the one above for all of my kids that cost a little under $5, including the tin!  I think the boys are going to love it.
I just wrapped them up with cellophane and had a cute little gift, that I hope will make the boys feel special and loved.
We didn't want to just give them candy, so we put a book in the back of each of the gifts.

Now to finish up their teacher and class Valentines :)
